Office Products Women in Leadership (OPWIL) is an international, professional organization for high achieving women within the office products industry. OPWIL is a neutral forum where like-minded colleagues can discuss key issues facing the office products industry and, most specifically, women’s roles therein. We provide you a tremendous opportunity to interact with peers, share challenges, and identify new strategies and solutions. OPWIL is a safe and confidential place to learn, develop, and grow, while establishing lasting friendships. We are passionate about creating an environment of encouragement, education, and sharing amongst the growing number of women leaders in the office products industry.
OPWIL was founded in 2008 by Krista Moore, president of K.Coaching, Inc., and Kathy Hoyle, CEO of Hoyle Office Solutions, Inc. Through a series of coaching conversations, Krista and Kathy came up with the idea of creating a non-profit organization to address the needs of women in the office products industry for more networking and mentoring. Long a male-dominated industry, office products had a reputation as something less than glamorous and unsuccessful at attracting talented women. Krista and Kathy saw a clear need for diversity, development, networking, and mentoring for talented, aspiring women—a void that OPWIL was formed to fill. In addition, OPWIL has given successful women leaders in the industry a common forum: they can attend events and establish vital relationships with their female counterparts in the industry. Members can also join an exclusive executive mastermind group, and give back to other women in the industry by acting as mentors and role models for the next generation.
Since its founding, OPWIL’s scope has increased to support its expansion into international markets and new channels such as manufacturers, buying groups, and wholesalers.
